Meetings & Activities 

The Chiang Mai Expats Club holds regular meetings and social activities designed to connect expats and provide useful information and social opportunities. 

Expat Connection

These take place on the 4th Saturday of January, March, May, July, September and November, at the Duangtawan Hotel. Attendees meet at 9:45 AM for coffee, tea, and light snacks, with the meeting running from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The meetings feature multiple speakers discussing topics such as visa updates, legal issues for expats, health, Thai culture, and more. 

Cost: Pre-purchased ticket cost: 220฿ for members (plus 20฿ booking fee), 270฿ for visitors (plus 20฿ booking fee).  Price at the door is 350฿.

Saturday Breakfast at The Duke's

Held on the 1st Saturday of each month at The Duke’s Restaurant - Ruamchok, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This is a casual event with no formal program, allowing members and guests to enjoy a delicious breakfast and socialize. There are special Newcomers tables where local expats answer questions about living in Chiang Mai. 

Cost: 345฿ for members (with reservation), 445฿ for guests & walk-ins.  Kids under 12 are 195฿

Special Notes:

• The club encourages advance reservation for events to avoid no-show issues as venues prepare based on attendee numbers.

• Events and meetings are sometimes recorded and available on their YouTube channel. 

• The club runs various other special interest groups and social events throughout the month. 

• These meetings and activities offer expats a chance to stay informed, socialize, make new friends, and better integrate into life in Chiang Mai.
